Abstract

The success full implementation of the 2013’s curriculum in superior learning activities in primary schools is determined by the role of the teacher. The goals from this research are to study the improvement of student learning outcomes before and after with the problem-based learning model. Classroom Action Research was employed in this study with descriptive analysis, conducted in 2 cycles. 17 students of the 4th grade of SD Muhammadiyah Sungai Apit were involved as participants. The tools used to collect data in this study are observation sheets and tests of knowledge competency learning outcomes. Based or the results of the research obtained from increasing the scores of teacher and student activities. In the first cycle, teacher activity increased from 75% to 90% and in the second cycle changed the rate from 90% to 95%. While student activity increased from 70% to 85% of the second cycle of 85% of 95%. The average score of student learning outcomes also increased, in the first cycle increased by 12.50% and the second cycle increased again to 30.29% after approval of the action. The problem-based learning model is also increased. participants and able to make good cooperation between teachers with students and students with other students. This concludes that the problem-based learning model can improve the competency learning outcomes of 4th-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Sungai Apit.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the low motivation of grade IV elementary school students. The study aims to determine extrinsic factors that influence the learning motivation of fourth-grade students in Gugus 2 Sail District Pekanbaru City. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The research sample consisted of 149 students. The data collection technique used is the questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The results showed that extrinsic factors that affect student learning motivation at 8.26% were influenced by learning methods, 10.02% were influenced by teacher relations with students, 10.20% were influenced by student relations with students, 11.22% were influenced by discipline school, 8.61% influenced by learning tools, 10.93% influenced by school time, 10.70% influenced by learning standards above size, 10.66% influenced by building conditions, 10.20% influenced by curriculum, 9, 21% is influenced by homework. The conclusions of the study show that extrinsic factors that influence the learning of fourth-grade students of Gugus 2 Sail District Pekanbaru City is school discipline.

Abstract

Ecological intelligence is an ability or competence that a person has in adapting to the circumstances of the surrounding environment and can apply it in daily life. In this study, researchers conducted research on how ecological intelligence in elementary school students in the high class in terms of skills. Ecological intelligence in terms of skills includes the skills of using and utilizing resources, living in harmony with environmental preservation, solving environmental problems, and skills in environmental responsibility. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, the main data source (primary data) obtained from questionnaires given to respondents and the results of interviews and documentation which is support data (secondary data). The results of this study show that the ecological intelligence of elementary school students in high class is classified as skilled (89.89%). When viewed from each indicator, the ecological intelligence of elementary school students in the high class is also categorized as skilled. This proves that elementary school students in the high class have begun to understand how important it is to protect the environment and also students already care about the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to re-analyze the effect of before and after the use of mind mapping in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school social studies (IPS). The study used a meta-analysis method. This research begins by formulating research topics, then developed again into the formulation of research problems, and at the final stage is to search relevant articles for data collection. Data was obtained by searching online journals through google Scholar with search keywords "mind mapping", "social studies learning outcomes", and "elementary social studies learning". As many as 20 articles were found, but only 11 articles were relevant to this study. The data obtained is processed again using quantative methods. Based on the results of the analysis of mind mapping proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes with the lowest to highest average of 12.95 - 93.05% with the average final result 40.17%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a large number of students who have difficulty in solving mathematical problems of with fractions. This research aims to find out and describe the difficulties experienced by a student in solving mathematical problem infraction. This type of research is qualitative research. This Study found that the difficulties experienced by students in solving fractions are difficulty in understanding the concept of fractional counting operations, difficulty because it does not master multiplication as preparatory material, and difficulty in solving problem-solving problems in fractions. Internal factors that cause students to have difficulty in solving math problems in the fraction are low student motivation, students don’t like math and low ability of students in mathematics. External factors that cause students to experience difficulties in fraction learning are unfavorable class conditions and poor classroom management.

Abstract

This research is a school action research conducted at the Lubuk Batu Jaya District Elementary School in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers in the Lubuk Batu Jaya Subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu Regency, amounting to 60 people. The problem behind this research is the low motivation of teacher work in the primary schools of the Lubuk Batu Jaya Subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The purpose of this study is to increase the motivation of working teachers. The results of the study prove that, the number of assessment scores on pre-cycle is 894 with an average of 62.08 sufficient categories, in the first cycle, the number of scores increases to 1057 with an average of 73.40 good categories, and in cycle II the number of scores in cycle II increases 1210 with an average of 84.02 very good categories. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that through academic supervision it can improve the motivation of the work of the Lubuk Batu Jaya District Elementary School teachers in Indragiri Hulu Regency

Abstract

This research is motivated by the differences in the implementation of 2013 curriculum learning with the previous curriculum. This study aims to describe the competence of teachers in the implementation of K13 learning on the theme 1 sub-theme 3 of class IV SDN 181 Pekanbaru, and the subjects in this study were IVB class teachers. The research design in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data analysis techniques Miles and Huberman. Data analysis techniques are done by collecting, reducing, presenting, drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the implementation of educative learning carried out by teachers through initial activities, core activities and closing activities in one sub theme of learning for four meetings is 62% of the criteria set. Based on the category on the multilevel scale the teacher's competency in the implementation of learning is at a poor interval.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the awareness of the importance of applying basic skills to manage classes for deaf students who are not as appropriate. This results in deaf students not being able to get the optimal learning process. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Descriptive learning research aims to find out the application of basic teaching skills in managing classes of deaf students in Extraordinary Elementary Schools. The study was conducted in two classes, namely, the low class and high class with the research subject is the low and high-class teachers. The research data is obtained from observing the teacher's skills in managing the class and interviews with related sources. The results of the study are that the application of basic teaching skills in managing classes for deaf students has been carried out in accordance with the components of classroom management even though they have not met all the indicators of observation. Classroom arrangement has also supported a more optimal classroom management process. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the implementation of basic teaching skills in managing the class of deaf students at the Extraordinary Elementary School of Love for Pekanbaru Pekanbaru has been done quite well.

Abstract

The implementation of problem-based learning model it will endeavor that active students in the teaching and learning process, be active in thinking and can develop students' problem-solving skills so as to create active and independent learning so that student learning outcomes. To strengthen the scientific approach it is advisable to apply problem-based learning to encourage students to be creative and contextual both individually and in the group's purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of class IV students in Theme I SDN 158 Pekanbaru by applying a problem-based learning model. This type of research is classroom action research, with a collaborative pattern, the purpose of this classroom action research is to improve student learning outcomes, and improve the quality of applied learning practices. The research subjects were grade IVA students at SDN 158 Pekanbaru, which numbered 31 people. Consisting of 13 women and 18 men. The instruments of data collection in this study were observation sheets of teacher and student activities, observation sheets of student attitudes and test of learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of this study are the application of a problem-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in sub-theme 2 and sub-theme 3, namely the baseline score (UH subteam 1), which averages 69.03 increases in the daily repeat cycle I (UH sub-theme 2) average 73.70 and the daily repetition of cycle II (UH subteam 3) increased again to 84.03. The activities of teachers and students at each meeting in the first cycle and second cycle experienced an increase, although sometimes there were ups and downs.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of a structured numbered head model using zig-zag media to poem writing skills of class V Gugus Arjuna State Elementary School, Semarang City. This research belongs to quantitative research which has a type of experimental research using Quasi-Experimental Design and applied Nonequivalent Control Group form. The subjects of this research were students of class V Gugus Arjuna State Elementary School, Semarang City. The samples of this research were students of Class VA Kerobokan State Elementary School as a control class and students of class VB as an experimental class. Sampling technique was used area sampling. Data gathering technique was used documentation and test. The research data result was analyzed by using a prerequisite test and hypothesis test. The study data result was analyzed using t-test and n-gain test. The result of the hypothesis test showed that(calculate) 1.6927 > t(table) 1.66. N-gain control class 0.132 (low) and experimental class 0.320 (medium). From the analysis, it can be concluded that structured numbered head learning model using zig-zag media is effective to poem writing skill of class V Gugus Arjuna State Elementary School, Semarang City.
